18th August 2015

Mileage 21.7

Timberline Lodge (2106) to Salvation Springs (2127.7)

The worst nights sleep of the whole trip was made better by the great buffet breakfast. The combination of both resulted in me being very sluggish. The body just didn’t want to move. I think it was lack of sleep.

The trail started with a series of dips into gullies followed by climbs back out. Just what my body didn’t need. Lucky for me the trail flattened out by the end of the day.

I camped alone next to a spring less than 22 miles from Timberline Lodge. It’s crazy to think that there is a challenge among some hikers to make it from Timberline Lodge to Cascade Locks in one day! Can you believe it!

Exhaustion resulted in a very short blog post today, enjoy the photos.
