Bicycle Touring and BikePacking

Bicycle Touring is sometimes called, BikeTouring, Cycle Touring, Bike Travel or Bicycle Travel. It is the not so subtle art of cycling very long distances carrying all the gear you need to travel. Often that means carry several days worth of food and water. Many including myself consider this form of travel to be about the journey and not the destination.

Bikepacking is the ultralight version of Bicycle Touring. The not so subtle art of carrying ultralight camping gear and moving from place to place fast and light. For most Bikepackers it is about traveling through remote areas to places where traditional Bicycle Touring Setups would not be able to go. Luxury items are generally left at home and ultralight is the way to go.
